Damn it, there’s a major bug on my folio section, none of the works do appear with ie7. Pretty weird as i’ve used GalleryView on other sites without a problem. No worries, am working on it. In the time, why don’t ie7 users consider using other browsers starting with ie8 ?

Loving internet explorer…"23rd Jan 2010v7!"13th Jan 2010
Hell yeah! After quite some work there it goes, my new folio. All Wordpress powered. Checked on Chrome, Opera, Safari, FF and ie8, looks fine. There may be some bugs as it is brand new. I’d love to hear on some feedback of users to know what you think about it. I tried to built something new and am pretty proud of it.
Cheers.

I am kevin, a webdesigner from France, living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and yes i love my job! I’m totally passionate about it and i especially love the fact that i learn everyday some new stuff. If you’re not convienced, ask my girlfriend.
I have been working in France and now Brazil where i learnt portuguese. French is of course not a problem and living in Australia for a year gave me an english that i use everyday.
Appart from this, i’m completely addicted to snowboarding, travelling, rock music, wakeboarding and mtb downhill. Yep even if am pretty geek with hours everyday in front of my computer i try to ride as soon as i can.
Oh, and i love having a beer on posto 8 in Ipanema.
Cheers.
So let’s see a bit what i know to do:
- Static sites xhtml/css
- Cms / blogs with WordPress
- I integrate javascript elements and started to learn the basics of jQuery
- I combine javascript plugin within WordPress to get it all dynamic, like my folio section
- I know a bit of Php which allows me to achieve what i want with WP (yep WordPress again)
- Even if WP and javascript got my preference, i can program full-flash sites with action-script 2
- And i care about cross-browsers compatibility (except ie6)
I recently started a eCommerce project. But as i do learn right know, it’s not yet something i know very good. Oh and i study my Ajax book when i got time.

I searched my hard drives and old ftp folders to build up this section. Here you’ll get a quick view of the different version i did for my portfolio, since i steped into html back in 2002, just for fun, to see the evolution. There it goes:
- v1 2005, i searched all over my drives but couldn’t find anything left. All i remember is that it was really dark and not sexy. Didnt last.
- v2 2005, i found it all back but it’s all messed up. Here is a picture, if i have some time and motivation i’ll build it back. Full of <table> and no css, yep old school.
- v3 2007, first contact with flash, check out the menu! Still table built but bits of css. Fully functional here.
- v4 2008, div, css, javascript, cleaner design and same logo. The background picture is randomly changed on each page load. A picture and the site.
- v5 2008, more a v4.2 really, new logo, more css, english/french languages. Updated until the end of december 2008. Picture and link.
- v6 2009, moved to Brazil and i needed something more professional i felt, to find a job. Full-flash folio. Works were dynamically loaded, minimal design and full coded AS2 without a single timeline animation. Ok but sucked for updates. Check it out.
- v7 2010, this very site, Wordpress based, javascript moving and xhtml/css.
- Nah i don’t think yet of a v8, but it’ll come for sure as i’m always learning and improving.
